Youth for Christ Jamaica prays for Miss Universe Jamaica’s recovery

by Tola Mbakwe

Jamaica Youth for Christ has called on the nation to pray for the healing and full recovery of Dr Gabrielle Henry, Miss Universe Jamaica 2025.

She remains in intensive care after falling from the stage during the evening gown preliminary at the Miss Universe competition in Bangkok last week.

At the organisation’s annual National Prayer Breakfast on Saturday, members lifted up prayers for Dr Henry, asking for God’s protection, strength, and restoration.

A video of the prayer session was shared on social media with the hashtag #PrayWithUs, prompting widespread support from Jamaicans and the international community.

Over the weekend, the Miss Universe Jamaica Organisation renewed its call for global prayers for Dr Henry, who suffered a serious head injury during the fall and was immediately taken for medical intervention.

The injuries are not life-threatening and doctors are continuing to conduct tests to ensure a full recovery.
