Young people encouraged to join Christian interrail trip across Europe

by Kelly Valencia

Over 18s are being encouraged to join a Christian interrail trip across Europe to learn more about evangelising overseas.

Organised by Operation Mobilisation (OM), the three-week Race Across Europe event would see young people build confidence in both conversational and practical gospel sharing.

Speaking to Premier, Lara Jenkins from OM explained they aim to make missions appealing to young people.

“We're aware that people want to travel on gap years and people are keen to see the world. So we wanted to think of ways that they could do that, as well as share the gospel and have mission experiences that they might not just by travelling,” she said.

France, Germany, The Balkans, Greece and Poland are some of the countries the group will visit to engage in outreach activities, and collaborate with ministries focused on assisting refugees, children, and sports initiatives.

Evangelistic training before leaving the UK and during the trip will also be provided teaching the group how to take into account the cultural differences when sharing the gospel.

Jenkins continued: “There will [also] be a stop in Greece in the middle of the trip, where a couple of us will fly out and do debriefing and processing halfway through the trip. And then when they come back, they'll also have a week of debriefing, as well as receiving field-specific training as they reach each country.”

The trip is scheduled to take place from 25th June to 18th August.
