YFC appoints new National Director

Neil O'Boyle replaces Gavin Calver, who has moved on to become a Director at the Evangelical Alliance.

He will take on the role in August after finishing his work with Youth for Christ's international wing where he's been focussing on evangelism.

In a statement Gordon Rendle, President of Youth for Christ International and Ken Wright, Chair of British Youth for Christ said: "Neil's clear calling as an evangelist and his extensive experience of YFC ministries across the world over 23 years will be invaluable assets in leading BYFC into the next chapter of its mission to take the Good News of Jesus relevantly to every young person in Britain.

"We recognise that Neil's move will be a big loss to YFCI and he and his family will be greatly missed. He has done a great job in introducing new evangelistic initiatives and developing the shape and strength of International Field Ministries.

"Neil's unique gifts, talents and qualifications will propel him in this new role and we are excited at what the Lord is doing. In the greater economy of God's Kingdom, we are 'One YFC' and can see the wisdom of this move.

"We look forward with anticipation to the next chapter for British Youth for Christ and seeing many more young people in Britain encounter Jesus!"

Youth for Christ is encouraging Christians to pray for him as he prepares to take on the new role as well as Gavin Calver as he moves on.
