'We forgive whoever did this', Dorset church shows grace after suspected arson attack

The blaze, which broke out in the kitchen of the Prayerhouse in Weymouth early in the morning, is being treated as a suspected arson attack. No one was hurt.

Pastor, Paul White told Premier: "We know that the church is not a building, but people.

"Although this is a very sad for us and a loss for the community, we have not lost hope. This will make us stronger and we will rise above the storm and continue to serve God and this community.

"Please do pray for wisdom, peace and comfort for the members of the church."

The Prayerhouse says alternative arrangements for its service and various activities will have to be made while the church remains unusable.

Flames destroyed space which has been used four times-per-week as the Soul Food soup kitchen.

Josh White, Paul's son, told the Dorset Echo newspaper: "The community will come together and we will keep going.
