TV clergyman Rev Richard Coles has said he's delighted to be the first vicar to feature on hit ITV show 'I'm a Celebrity'.

The 62-year-old will enter the jungle on Wednesday as a late arrival alongside Love Island star Maura Higgins.

Outlining his concerns about going on the TV programme, the Church of England priest said his snoring was going to be an issue.

"[I'm worried about] everybody wanting to kill me because I keep them awake at night,” he joked. "I am also worried about finding a fear I didn't know I had yet and going to pieces on television in front of a koala or wombat or something.”

Speaking about representing the Church on TV, he said: ”I don't think there are many precedents for this, although, vicars have been going into jungles for years and years and years as missionaries.”
