David Fletcher from Wetwang in East Yorkshire repeatedly assaulted the child at his small farm in Queensbury during the 1980s.
The 63 year old, who had been working at a Bradford school at the time the crimes were committed, was also convicted following a trial of two counts of indecent assault.
Judge Roger Thomas QC, the Recorder of Bradford, was quoted by the BBC as saying the abuse occured "on a good number of occasions".
He added that Mr Fletcher's conviction would "bring to an end, presumably, your life as a minister in the church"
Mr Fletcher was found not guilty at Bradford Crown Court of six other offences.
Ordained by the Church of England in 2001, Mr Fletcher has not served as a vicar since the time he was charged with the offences.
