A former vicar has admitted raping a boy under 14 in a church.
Accoridng to The Argus, Ifor Whittaker, aged 80, pleaded guilty at Hove Crown Court to rape and gross indecency while he was the vicar at a village church.
At the time of the offences in the 1990s, Whittaker was known as Father Colin Pritchard.
He was the vicar at St John The Baptist Church in Sedlescombe near Hastings.
According to the outlet, the male victim is now in his 30's.
Whittaker has been remanded in custody for sentencing on November 12.
The case is ongoing.
