The Vatican's released a video urging believers to pray for persecuted Christians around the world.
The video features three Christians being photographed for mugshots like criminals, symbolising their victimisation for their faith.
It also features scenes of destroyed churches and places of worship, reflecting the damage done by groups such as Islamic State.
The release is one of a series called 'The Pope Video', a series of videos released with the pontiff's approval highlighting various issues around the world which require prayer and action to change them.
Pope Francis said in the video: "I ask you, how many of you pray for persecuted Christians?
"Do it with me, that they may be supported by the prayers and material help of all the churches and communities."
