UK prisoners to watch Spring Harvest 2023

by Sophie Drew

Spring Harvest, one of the UK's most prominent Christian festivals, has announced that its upcoming online event, Spring Harvest Home, will be streamed live into 72 prisons across the country for the first time ever.

From April 10th to 14th, the initiative aims to provide prisoners with access to “uplifting Christian content that can inspire and transform their lives.”

By streaming the event live into prisons, Spring Harvest hopes to make it easier for Britain’s criminals to engage with the gospel, in a bid to lead people to the ways of Christ.

The event is a collaboration between Spring Harvest, Wayout TV, and various UK Prison Chaplaincy teams.

The theme for this year's event is "Flipped," focusing on how Christians are called to “challenge the status quo and infuse the world with hope and possibility.”

Abby Guinness, Head of Spring Harvest, said: "We believe that everyone should have access to the hope and love that the Christian faith provides, and we are grateful for the opportunity to partner with Way Out TV and the Prison Chaplaincy team to make this possible.”

Phil Chadder, national leader of the Prison Chaplaincy team, added: “In every prison across the country there are Christian services and Bible study groups taking place each week.

“Men, women, and young people encountering the risen Lord Jesus, learning of his love for them and call on their lives.”
