‘The Chosen’ Season 5 trailer is here

by Anna Rees

The trailer for the newest season of The Chosen has dropped.

The fifth series of the hit, based on the life of Jesus, bears the tagline: ‘The Last Supper: The table is set’.

Screenplay is set to depict Jesus’ arrival to Jerusalem, and the days leading up to his crucifixion.

Actor Jonathan Roumie, who plays Jesus, can be see flipping tables in the temple – in reference to Matthew 21:12-13:

“Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves. ‘It is written,’ he said to them, ‘My house will be called a house of prayer,’[a] but you are making it ‘a den of robbers.” (NIV)

Previously available on Netflix, a new deal with MGM studios means season five will be available on Amazon Prime.
