What are the Soul Survivor conferences?
- First launched in 1993
- Attract thousands of young people each year
- Each event lasts five days
- Includes worship, seminars and social events
- Currently held in Somerset, Staffordshire and Kinross
Founder, Mike Pilavachi, has announced Weeks B and C of their summer programme will no longer be staged at the Bath and West Showground from next year.
After 24 years of using the Somerset venue, the events will be held at the East of England Showground's Peterborough Arena from 2017.
The Stafford Showground will continue to host Soul Survivor Week A, while Soul Survivor Scotland will still be taking place at the Scripture Union venue, Lendrick Muir in Kinross.
Speaking about the move, Mike Pilavachi said: "We have had many wonderful summers in Somerset but we're thrilled to be starting a new chapter at the East of England Showground.
"It has some fantastic purpose built venues including the Peterborough Arena which can comfortably accommodate thousands of people."
Soul Survivor says significant funds have been invested in the Peterborough Arena over the past few years and the venue already hosts a number of major indoor and outdoor events each year, including live music.
Mike Pilavachi continued: "With its more central location and excellent public transport links, we hope it will be easily accessible for all those who have previously been to Soul Survivor in Somerset, as well as being in easy reach for new friends to join us."
First launched in Somerset in 1993, Soul Survivor grew in 2007 to add a week in Cheshire (when moved to Stafford one year later).
Soul Survivor Scotland was launched in 2014 at the Thainstone Centre near Aberdeen and moved to Kinross in 2015.
