The Christian singer, 75, says the new record will feautre a "duet" with Elvis Presley on the King of Rock 'n' Roll's Blue Suede Shoes.
It goes on sale in November, just weeks after a review concluded that the CPS was correct not to prosecute Sir Cliff over historical sex abuse allegations.
The singer, who has always maintained his innocence, has said that he hopes the review "brings this matter to a close".
The new album will feature Sir Cliff's renditions of songs such as Roll Over Beethoven, Great Balls Of Fire and Sweet Little Sixteen, as well as a new, original track called It's Better To Dream and his debut single Move It.
Sir Cliff recorded the album in the Blackbird studio in Nashville, Tennessee. It means he's achieved a long-held dream of featuring a "duet" with Elvis.
He said that his new album referenced a more "innocent time".
"Not only do I find it hard to believe that my career has spanned this length of time, but also that I still get the chance to do the thing I love best, and that is to get into a studio", he said.
"My new CD is another dip into an incredible period of our musical history. A happy, creative, and in many ways an innocent time.
"I will always love this music, but more importantly I hope you do too. Rock on!"
Sir Cliff released his debut single Move It in August 1958.
