Shane Lynch: Prayer is a very important thing for me

by Eno Adeogun

Speaking to the Metro, the Celebrity Big Brother finalist said: "I'm a born-again Christian and for me that's about having a relationship with God.

"Prayer is a very important thing for me."

The popstar - whose boy band at the height of their fame in the nineties, sold 25 million records worldwide – previously said in an interview that his former rebellious character was enhanced when he joined the group in 1993.

Now happily married to former backing singer Sheena White - the couple have two daughters, Billie Rae, eight and Marley Mae, four - Lynch says he doesn't regret his past as it made him the man he is today.

The singer whose Twitter bio begins with the word Jesus said his career in showbiz has taught him to "never give up".

"You can dig a tunnel deep into a mountain and not find any gold or diamonds – but one more strike with that pickaxe could revel all.

"Some people put it down, walk out of the tunnel and give up – but I say never give up."
