Premier radio stations set to reach new audiences

The development by Sound Digital, the national DAB commercial network, means Premier's reach is expanding to cover parts of East Anglia, the South West, Kent, South Wales and North East Scotland.

In total 83 per cent of the UK now can access the stations - up from 77 per cent.

To receive Premier Praise and Premier Christian Radio, listeners in the areas where the new transmitters have launched should retune their DAB set by pressing the auto tune or auto scan button or go into the radio's menu and press auto tune. Listeners can check all their available digital stations by using the postcode checker at www.getdigitalradio.com

Reacting to the development, Premier's CEO Peter Kerridge said: "Premier exists to enable people to put their faith at the heart of daily life and to bring Christ to their communities.

"We're delighted that this new development will help us reach more people to do just that."

Earlier this year, a survey by ComRes showed more people are listening to Premier stations than ever before.

It found 1.2 million adults are tuning into Premier Christian Radio regularly, with 951,000 people listening to Premier Praise.
