It's as violence continues between Israel and Palestine.
Israeli air strikes have been bombarding Gaza for seven nights now with the UN saying 17,000 people have sought refuge in their facilities.
Health officials say 172 Palestinians have died since the violence began.
Israel meanwhile has been facing increasing rocket attacks with some even threatening second city Tel Aviv.
The country says it is targeting Hamas militants and their stock of weapons but according to the United Nations 77% of the people killed in Gaza have been civilians.
During Sunday's Angelus address Pope Francis talked about his June meeting with the Israeli and Palestinian presidents.
The Pontiff said: "Lord, help us! Give us your peace, teach us peace, guide us towards peace.
"Open our eyes and our hearts and give us the courage to say "never again war!
"With war all is destroyed! Give us the courage to perform concrete gestures to build peace.
"Make us available to listen to the cries of our fellow citizens who ask us to transform our arms into instruments of peace, our fears into trust, our tension into forgiveness. Amen."
During his recent trip to the Holy Land Pope Francis said the Vatican was not seeking to get involved in peace negotiations between the two sides but did urge them to have courage in the search for a resolution.
