Commander John Sutherland is a Christian and said he was retelling the traditional Christmas story using the "archives of the Bethlehem Police Department".
In a light hearted blog he creates a fictional daily crime bulletin detailing all the calls received by officers on the night of Jesus' birth.
The briefing explains how it is "day five of operation census" and that substantial number of migrants have been arriving in the past week.
Mr Sutherland's take on the nativity starts at 5.15pm when officers receive a call to a dispute at "Judea Travelodge" where there are no rooms left.
At 6.30pm, he says, officers receive a call to a "possible UFO sighting" and "claims of a bright light moving East to West".
The story goes on to say how the Judea Border Patrol reports stopping a group of men who claim to have come from "afar". The men, the report says, are in possession of "gold and a container filled with an aromatic and suspicious looking resin".
Commander Sutherland's take on the Bible story ends with child protection being called in after reports of a boy being cared for "in wholly unsuitable circumstances, apparently in a stable".
The crime report ends with a hand over stating that "everything is different now".
Mr Sutherland is known for his blog and twitter account gaining 12,000 followers.
