Photos show UK's cathedrals lit up in solidarity with Ukraine

by Sophie Drew

Cathedrals across the country have lit up yellow and blue in solidarity with the people of Ukraine.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine continues as a 40-mile long convoy of vehicles makes its way to Kyiv.

Thousands of Ukranian nationals have fled the country for neighbouring states, such as Poland, Slovakia and Moldova.

On Sunday, congregations throughout the world joined to pray for those embroiled in the devastating attacks.

Cathedrals in most major UK cities have issued their support for Ukraine by lighting up their exteriors in the colours of the Ukrainian flag.
