A group of Christians and former Trump administration officials have announced plans to launch a faith-based outreach effort to supposedly push back at the "anti-faith" agenda of the Biden administration.
The National Faith Advisory Board coalition is headed by Christian televangelist Paula White, a public figure who has a long history of advocating and supporting the Trump administration during its run.
This initiative will expand on the White House's former Faith and Opportunity Initiative, an office formed by former president Donald Trump and revoked by Biden. Jenny Korn and Amanda Robbins Vargo will run the office, two former members of the office of public liaison. While the organisation appears to focus on various religious groups, White Evangelicals were a key demographic in electing President Trump and are dominant in this group.
"We accomplished so much together at the White House during the Trump administration. We are seeing all our hard work being unraveled by the new administration and their anti-faith agenda," read an email sent to religious leaders across the United States and reported by the Jewish news site Forward.
"We will protect our religious freedoms here and abroad to worship and live according to our faith." The Advisory Board intends to bring together religious leaders to speak on various issues, including religious liberties.
The initiative will also include president Donald Trump, who will appear on a conference call on Thursday. It remains unclear how this organisation will affect Trump's potential re-election initiative.
