Planners in Oxfordshire have found an inventive way to reopen a 17th Century Church - they're turning part of the building into flats.
Chipping Norton Baptist Church closed five years ago when it fell into disrepair.
It's suffered water damage and needs new electrical and heating systems.
Eight flats will be built, but the developer will also carry out renovations to allow services to be held there again from next summer.
To have carried out the necessary renovations independently of any other development would have cost around half a million pounds.
Since the building closed, the congregation has a Day Centre for services and the Town Hall for other activities.
The developer's plans include eight two-bedroom flats on the ground, first and second floors, in areas previously used as classrooms and for the Sunday school.
