Revd Andrew Waude had been working at St Cyprian's Church, in Lancaster Road before being suspended of all ministerial duties.
It's unclear why the action against Revd Waude has been taken and the Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham refused to confirm the reason.
In a statement it said: "The Reverend Andrew Waude has been suspended from all ministerial duties until further notice on account of issues of conduct.
"He is currently unable to minister as a Clerk in Holy Orders in any way."
