New Wine digital festival free for second year in a row

New Wine is making its "United Breaks Out" summer event free for the second year running.

There had been plans to charge a ticket fee to cover the cost of the digital event which is expected to cost more than £300K.

"Originally, we planned to charge a ticket fee to cover costs, but God had other ideas. We believe He is calling us to be generous and to give UBO away for free again this summer. We trust that it's His plan and that He will release provision to enable it," said Jules Morgan, Executive Director.

"New Wine has been called to break out of normal campsite boundaries once again - inspired by the Spirit to equip the local Church for this season. Their vision is to lead the nation with confidence towards a renewed understanding of and love for our Saviour - and towards a world where signs and wonders are our new normal.
"Amidst all of the challenges of the last year, one that has hit hardest has been losing the opportunity to gather.

"For the Church, gathering together has not just a social significance but a deeply spiritual one, as we meet not only with others but, in a special way, with God. This year, we've taken the step of faith to offer all of our celebrations, our youth and children's programmes, and our Accessible Church stream, for free. We hope that churches and individual Christians will be able to gather round these offerings to receive healing, encouragement and fresh vision to serve the nation as we begin the process of recovery," said Paul Harcourt, New Wine National Leader in a statement.

United Breaks Out launches at 7pm on Thursday 29 July, with live hosting, sung worship, prayer ministry and teaching from Paul Harcourt (New Wine) and Carl Beech (Christian Vision for Men).

Evening speakers across the week include Amy Orr Ewing (Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics), Francis Chan (Crazy Love), Katia Adams (Frequentsee), Agu Irukwu (Jesus House), Selina Stone (St Mellitus) & Sammy Jabangwe (The Message Trust). Morning Bible Teaching will start at 11am from Friday 30 July, led by David Parker (Pastor Emeritus, Desert Vineyard, California) & Kenny Borthwick (Church of Scotland).

The New Wine summer gathering introduces more than 20,000 Christians to charities and organisations working around the world to share the love of Jesus and make a difference locally, often in challenging and dangerous situations. The online event will profile organisations including Compassion, Christians Against Poverty, TLG, Parenting For Faith, IJM, Open Doors, World Vision, Missional Generation, SAT-7, Bible Society and more.

With over 100 churches signed up to be 'Uniters', organisers say United Breaks Out also aims to offer the same fellowship and connection they see across the campsite each summer.
