New survey reveals only half of Evangelical pastors hold a biblical worldview

by Alex Collett

A new survey has revealed that only half of Evangelical pastors hold a biblical worldview and it has been described as a 'shocking finding' by the Director of the Research.

The new report comes from the Cultural Research Center (CRC) at Arizona Christian University.

The study builds on an earlier report from CRC's "American Worldview Inventory 2022," which showed that just 37 per cent of Christian pastors bring a biblical worldview with them to their pulpits.

Dr. George Barna, Director of the Research said: "Subsequent to revealing that the American Worldview Inventory 2022 found just 37% of Christian pastors have a biblical worldview, the alarming findings were dismissed by some as not surprising given the degree of "wokeness" that has invaded Christian churches.

"What would be shocking," opined one pastor, "would be if the numbers were low among evangelical pastors."

Roughly 1,000 Christian pastors took part in the study conducted between February and March and found that 57 per cent are conducting as researchers describe as "Biblical Theism."

Nondenominational and independent churches were even more likely to subscribe to a biblical worldview than leaders of Evangelical churches, 51 per cent  of whom abide by biblical theism in their daily lives.
