The popular Catholic youth gathering Flame has sold out ahead of its event at Wembley Arena on 15th March, where adventurer and author Bear Grylls will be the star speaker.

With 10,000 seats filled, the event will feature music, performances, and a keynote address from Cardinal Vincent Nichols.

Bear Grylls will take the stage as part of the launch of his new book, The Greatest Story Ever Told, which presents a series of eyewitness accounts of Jesus’ life.

Every attendee will receive a copy of the book, which aims to make the Gospel more accessible to young people.

The event, themed Unstoppable: Fan the Flame of Hope, will include talks from other inspirational speakers, live music, and performances.

Bear Grylls, OBE, a former British Special Forces soldier and global survival expert told Catholic Herald: "I'm so excited to share this book with you...it's all of our stories really."

Joining Grylls on stage will be Bryan Enriquez, a founding member of Hallow, the world’s leading Catholic prayer and meditation app, and Isaac Harvey, MBE, a disability advocate and content creator.

Fr Dominic Howarth, co-chair of the Flame Core Group and a priest of Brentwood Diocese, highlighted the significance of this year’s event.

He told the outlet

"Flame 2025 is a testament to the hard work and dedication of many, many teachers, chaplains, priests and youth leaders from across the country – some of them will be leaving with groups of young people at 4am, and returning well after midnight!

"We are looking forward to a wonderful day, to ‘fan the flame of hope’ for young people, parishes and schools across the country."
