Couple's date ends in burglary charge after breaking into church to its play piano

by Alex Collett

A US couple on their first date have been charged with burglary after police said they walked into an unlocked church, just to play its piano.

Sebastian Spencer and Danielle Salvato both bonded quickly when they met on a dating app, over the fact that they were both pianists.

The 20-year-old man and 19-year-old woman sought out a piano at the end of their first date.
They drove to Indian Lake Peninsula Church in Hendersonville, Tennessee at 12:50am on 18th August to find that the doors were unlocked, due to a fault.

CCTV captured Salvato's car driving up the church and Spencer's surprised face to find that the church's door wasn't locked.

He later admitted to Hendersonville Police: "I found a piano. I'm so shocked we found one at the first church.

"There were so many more churches, I was ready to go to."

Before leaving the church, the couple reportedly played the piano for around half an hour.
On their way out, however, they took four bibles, drumsticks, a collection plate, thought to create some sort of makeshift drum-kit.
