Churches in Nottingham have come together to sing a blessing over the city's hospitals.
Led by Hope Church Nottingham, a choir of local churches gathered to sing the 'UK blessing' at Queen's Medical Centre teaching hospital, as part of Thursday night's 'clap for our carers'.
In a video posted on Facebook, the choir can be seen standing in a socially distanced circle facing outwards, as they sing the words: "The Lord bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you."
Sharing the clip on social, the Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust thanked the choir saying: "It made us emotional."
The blessing, originally written by Kari Jobe, Cody Carnes, and Elevation Worship was recently adapted for an online music video in which over 65 UK churches and Christian groups joined together to sing a blessing to the UK during the coronavirus pandemic, which has received nearly 3 million views on YouTube.
The song's lyrics are based on a benediction prayer from the book of Numbers.
The Nottingham choir plans to take the blessing to the staff of City Hospital Nottingham next week.
