Christians encouraged to #disagreewell

The video campaign which is backed by Christians on the Left (Labour), Conservative Christian Fellowship and the Liberal Democrat Christian Fellowship is in response to concerns over clashes being seen in the run up to the EU referendum and US Presidential race.

It wants the video to be shared by Christians on social media as well as in churches and events in the run up to the EU referendum.

In a statement, the group said: "It may not get noticed because it doesn't insult anyone or proclaim imminent disaster through leaving or staying in the EU, but we hope it's worth watching.

"And it's not just a video. Christians in Politics are providing spaces for people to dialogue with one another and engage specifically with issues around the EU. Not to pretend that they all think the same thing in one big happy brainless Christian love-in, but to listen with respect and sharpen one another."

Speaking to Premier, Andy Flannagan from Christians in Politics said: "You look at increasingly at the world of twitter or at the toxicity of the blogosphere, then obviously everything we see from the American presidential campaign and the more heat than light coming from the referendum campaign in the UK.

"We thought it was the perfect opportunity to share our story as Christians in Politics, how we have found that relationships are the things that make the difference in these circumstances."
