A Christian woman has sparked debate after she stood up on a train and began preaching quotes from the New Testament to passengers sat in the 'quiet zone'.
The woman, known as Tessy on her X account posted footage of herself preaching to the public on a train operated by Avanti West Coast, on Sunday.
The post that has now amounted more than 10.3 million views and 2,800 comments on social media, revealed that it was "the first time" that she'd preached on a train in this way.
The caption stated: "Yesterday, in the quiet zone section of the train, I shared a very brief word. First time ever sharing on a train. It was short, but I’m glad I obeyed."
Tessy recorded herself getting up from her seat and politely apologising before saying "Hello everyone, I know this is a quiet zone so I'm just going to take two minutes.
"I just want to tell you that Jesus loves you and he came to die for you. And he says: "Come to me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest."
"If you haven't accepted Jesus into your life today you can call him and say Jesus, I want you in my life. And he will come. He will come into your heart, he will fill your heart with love," she said.

Following her announcement, she then thanked everyone and said "that is all I want to share with you", before sitting down again.
In the comments, many praised her for her "bravery", "courage" and for being "truly inspiring". One user wrote: "This gospel of the Kingdom, must be preached EVERYWHERE....That’s our driving force!"
Another said: "More grace, more passion, more boldness in Jesus name."
A third person stood against negative comments about her preaching in a quiet carriage. The user said: "Christians are not allowed to preach the gospel in Muslim countries, yet some Christians in the comments are angry that she is telling people Jesus loves them in a supposedly Christian country."
They added: "On these same British trains, you see drunkards shouting, beggars going from carriage to carriage asking for money, football hooligans singing, etc, but you're angry that she's telling people Jesus loves them?"
However, the incident also brought comments of disapproval for her disrupting the quiet zone, with one person saying "You can't win the hearts of people because you've already irritated them. They are in the quiet zone for a reason."
Adding to this, another person stated: "Faith is personal; disrespecting others’ peace isn’t holy, it’s performative," while another begged her to not "ever do this again".
The Avanti West Coast website has described their quiet coaches as a place where passengers can sit "without being disturbed".
When referencing their Pendolino trains, it said: "Need a quiet break away from the bustle of train travel? [...] Here, you can unwind, catch up on work or enjoy a rest without being disturbed."
Premier Christian News has approached Avanti West Coast for comment.
