Hit Christian singer Anne Wilson has revealed the reason behind her popular song "My Jesus."

Speaking in a video posted to her YouTube channel, Wilson revealed that her brother Jacob was killed in a car accident when she was a young lady and was Christian music that helped get her through it.
For her, the tragic death became a catalyst for her career.

Wilson described how she felt on the night of her brother's death: "I was in shock, I couldn't even cry at that moment, it's probably the most hopeless feeling in the entire world when you lose someone you love.

"It's almost like you cannot take your next breath, I heard the Lord say to me so clearly, Anne are you going to trust me? Or are you not?

"So I said Jesus I trust you."

Wilson went onto to say that for her family it was very devastating to lose Jacob and she did not want to become bitter, she said: "When you lose someone you love, there is a decision that has to be made.

"It is very easy to be angry at the Lord and blame him."

At her brother's funeral is where she first played and sang publically.
