A Christian MP and former private parliamentary secretary to Baroness Thatcher has been heavily critical of the deputy Bishop of London over comments he made on the social networking site Twitter, slating the former Prime Minister.
Aldershot MP Sir Gerald Howarth has told Premier the comments were in bad taste and should be retracted.
It's after the Deputy Bishop of London criticised what he called "a tide of eulogy and propaganda" around Margaret Thatcher.
The Rt Rev Peter Broadbent who is also the Bishop of Willesden went on to describe BBC's coverage of her death as "sycophantic" in a rant on Twitter.
In a separate development , the debate is rumbling on as to whether or not to play the Wizard of Oz song 'Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead' in this weekend's charts.
The issue has arisen following a campaign set up by anti-Thatcherite groups following the death of former Prime Minister Baroness Thatcher.
Sir Gerald told Premier's Des Busteed on the News Hour the BBC should not play the song until after Lady Thatcher's funeral in St. Paul's Cathedral on Wednesday.
