One in eight of the world's population goes to bed hungry and a Christian charity is trying to reduce the figure with the launch of this year's Christian Aid Week.
The annual event is the longest running week long door-to-door charity campaign in the UK.
Susan Barry from the charity told Premier's Victoria Laurence during the News Hour what's expected over the coming days:
