Thousands of young people took to the streets of Bristol on Friday to march in protest about climate change, joined by climate activist Greta Thunberg.
Acting Dean of Bristol Cathedral, Michael Johnson was there and told Premier the crowd fell silent waiting for Thunberg to make her speech.
Johnson described the atmosphere of the march as "absolutely brilliant" and "electric" and told Premier's News Hour: "There was a moment just before Greta went on stage when there was a wonderful silence as people were ready to hang on her every word."
The 17-year-old activist told the Bristol Youth Strike 4 Climate event that youth "will not be silenced".
In her speech, the teenager accused politicians and the media of ignoring climate change - and said it fell to young people to "clean up".
Bristol Cathedral was open as a place where people were free to gather before, during and after the march.
Johnson told Premier's News Hour why climate needed to be high on Christian's priorities: "If we are people who respect God's creation and recognise that we are stewards of that creation, then there is nothing more important to do. The first thing that we need to do is to take care of the heritage which God our Father has entrusted to us."
