Bishop's banter on Twitter after friendly Manchester quip

The Bishop of Leeds, Nick Baines, published a tweet yesterday saying: "Leaving now for Tanzania. Sad to be leaving wet, foggy, windy Manchester."

The message prompted the following response from the Bishop of Manchester, Dr David Walker: "Sorry about weather. We make do with our great diversity, culture, faiths, arts, sports, economy...& airport :)"

This prompted the reply from Bishop Nick: "Is that all?", to which Bishop David answered: "No, but knowing you're a scouser I took pity after one tweet's worth of what makes #Manchester great."

The Rt Revd Nick Baines became the first Bishop of Leeds in June 2014 and has attracted 11,300 followers on Twitter while the Rt Revd Dr David Walker, who become the bishop of Manchester in November 2013, and has 5,400 Twitter followers.
