Gordon Ramsey’s daughter marries Olympian at historic English Abbey

by Anna Rees Green

Olympic gold medallist Adam Peaty has married Holly Ramsay in a winter ceremony at Bath Abbey.

The pair share their Christian faith, with Adam saying his bride “came to church with me and joined the incredible community we have there without a question.”

Holly’s TV chef father, Gordon Ramsay, said he “couldn’t be a prouder dad” to walk his daughter down the aisle in the historic church, which dates to the seventh century.

Two days prior, the couple shared Christmas together at the Ramsays’ estate, with Adam posting Mark 1:21 on his Instagram: “She will give birth to a son, and you are to give Him the name Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins.”

The Abbey was abuzz with paparazzi and onlookers, leaving the wedding party to jostle for space walking up to its historic doors. Among the guest list were A-listers such as the Beckhams, and TV personalities including presenter Dan Snow and Dragons Den’s Sarah Davies.

Notably absent were Adam’s parents, Caroline and Mark, who have been embroiled in talk of a family feud since social media posts shared by Peaty’s aunt, which claimed his mother had been left out of Holly’s hen celebrations.

Bethany Peaty, Adam’s sister, was a bridesmaid in the wedding party.

In a previous social media post addressing the feud, Adam said: "I work so hard on trying to improve myself as a person who wants to contribute to making the world a better place.

"I am continuing to learn about myself and how I can be the man I want to be; a worthy partner, father, businessman, friend and athlete; even through these challenging times.”
