Vicar describes flooding 'chaos' in Aberystwyth

Many parts of the country are struggling to cope with more heavy winds, rain and flooding, following the extreme weather over the Christmas break. The government's emergency response team, COBRA, has been discussing how best to tackle the problems.

Coastal areas are bearing the brunt with Portreath in Cornwall lashed by the sea and parts of the harbour destroyed by waves.

Revd Jeff Thomas from Alfred Place Baptist Church from Aberystwyth has told Premier's Victoria Laurence on the News Hour the storm's causing huge disruption there too:
