A new poll suggests support for Donald Trump among US evangelicals is falling.
While 80 per cent voted for him in the 2016 election, now more than four in ten say they would support him being removed from office.
The poll by Politico and Morning Consult comes as the magazine Christianity Today released an editorial describing the actions of Trump as "profoundly immoral".
The majority of evangelicals do still support the US president though with 53 per cent saying they would not approve his removal including 49 per cent who would "strongly disapprove".
Donald Trump recently announced plans for a new movement called "Evangelicals for Trump".
A number of leading Christian figures will gather in Miami next month for its launch.
Last week, the President was impeached meaning he'll face trial next year.
He's been accused of an abuse of power linked to the pressuring of Ukraine to investigate political rival Joe Biden.
Mr Trump denies any wrongdoing.
