‘Thank you God’: World’s most famous wrestler amazed at response to his baptism

by Kelly Valencia

Hulk Hogan, one of the world’s most renowned wrestlers, has taken to social media to share his happiness and surprise at people’s reaction to his baptism video.

“It’s amazing how many emails and messages I’m getting from around the world now that everyone knows I am one with and am living my life for Christ,” Hogan posted on X (formerly Twitter).

“All is well even now, joyful, happy, life is good, thank you God. Amen!” he continued.

Earlier this month, the 70-year-old shared footage of the ceremony at Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Florida, US, captioning it: “Total surrender and dedication to Jesus is the greatest day of my life. No worries, no hate, no judgment… only love!"

The video has so far received over six million views on social media and thousands of comments and likes. Among those praising his decision to follow Christ publicly, are singer Greg Laurie, author Ann Voskamp and megachurch pastor Matt Brown.

Hogan, whose real name is Terry Gene Bollea, shared in April he accepted Christ when he was a teenager but strayed from faith when he was an adult.

The wrestler enjoyed a 30-year career, entering the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005 and again in 2020 as part of the group New World Order (now). Hogan secured six WWE championships, the Tag Team Championship, and won the Royal Rumble twice.
