A teenager accused of murdering Catholic teacher Ann Maguire "has accepted responsibility for the unlawful killing".
The Spanish and RE teacher was stabbed to death in front of a class of pupils at Corpus Christi Catholic College in Leeds at the end of April.
An inquest heard the 61 year old died from "shock and haemorrhage".
Richard Wright QC, defending the 16 year old, told Leeds Crown Court he had accepted responsibility for her killing.
No plea was made and he's due to stand trial charged with murder in November.
