Christian theatre company Riding Lights has said they're grateful for last-minute support, allowing their show to go on after their tour van was broken into.
On Monday night, sets and equipment for the Christian-based play Night Falls were stolen from the vehicle parked in Bradford.
The company’s director, Oliver Brown, described it as “devastating” and added that missing their upcoming performances could spell financial ruin.
However, after a social media appeal and much prayer, the group were able to remake costumes and set pieces.
“We are so grateful for all the offers of support and kindness shown over the past 24 hours,” a statement said. “Both ours and the theatre community have stepped up, and [given] us an incredible amount of support.”
The group thanked followers for donations and prayers, insisting: “We will go on.”
Night Falls explores themes of hope and grief, and will tour the UK until 6th April.
