Hollywood star Jamie Foxx has shared his grief on Instagram over the death of his younger sister.
The Oscar-winning star, 52, posted an emotional tribute to DeOndra Dixon, who has died aged 36.
Dixon, who was born with Down syndrome, was later named an ambassador for the Global Down Syndrome Foundation.
She also appeared in the music video for Foxx's song Blame as well as at the Grammys.
Foxx's Instagram post has attracted over one million likes.
"My heart is shattered into a million pieces... my beautiful loving sister Deondra has transitioned... I say transitioned because she will always be alive... anyone who knew my sis... knew that she was a bright light... I can't tell you how many times we have had parties at the house where she has got on the dance floor and stolen the show...
"well I know she is in heaven now dancing with her wings on...tho my pain is unbelievable I smile when I think of all of the great memories that she left me... my family... and her friends," he continued.
He went to add her death had left a hole in his heart and ended the post with "y'all please keep my family in your prayers... ??????"
