It is an openly Christian charity which also runs churches across the world and states on its website it aims to: "make known the good news about Jesus Christ and to persuade people to become his followers."

The second biggest Christian charity of Charity Financials website in terms of income is Christian Aid. Its annual income reached £107 million in 2016, and spends its money on fighting global poverty.

Also in the top 10 is World Vision UK at four and Tearfund at five.
