Rector speaks of 'shock' as three teens die in crash

The trio, who were all in their late teens and died at the scene, have been named locally as Kyle Warren, Dominic O'Neill and Billy Hines.

Rev Nigel Tuffnell, rector of the Redenhall benefice, said: "It's just shock from those who knew the boys, which is an awful lot of the town. I just can't believe it happened.

"That sense of shock is greater the closer people were to the boys themselves."

The three men were travelling along Tivetshall Road near Pulham Market when the black Ford Ka they were traveling in left the winding road and ploughed into trees at around 11.50pm on Wednesday.

Rev Nigel went on to say: "Their friends are here, friends of friends, it's a close community, warm and supportive. It's a town but the way it works is almost like a village - something like this happens and it goes round incredibly fast.

"They were young people at the beginning of their lives with everything to look forward to."

A book of condolences has been set up within the Redenhall benefice, at St John the Baptist Church in Harleston, around five miles away from Pulham Market.

Rev Nigel added: "I can't take away the pain or the loss, but we're giving people somewhere to write their thoughts and memories down."

Roadblocks were in place on Thursday while police officers investigated the incident.

Rev Nigel said two of the young men previously attended Archbishop Sancroft High School, a church school in Harleston.
