A Church of England vicar will appear in court next month after being charged with fraud.
Canon Ian Finn from Suffolk is accused of dishonestly gaining £13,000 from a church.
The 55 year old has been charged with fraud by abuse of position whilst at St Mary The Virgin Church in Haverhill town centre between 2007 and 2014.
He's been suspended by the Church of England pending the outcome of the court case.
John Howard, spokesman for the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich, said: "This matter is with Suffolk Constabulary and the courts and it is therefore inappropriate to comment at this stage."
