Priest calls for 'Full Monty' event to be scrapped

by Tola Mbakwe

The Full Monty and Montyettes performance which is scheduled for 11th August is a cancer awareness event in which men and women will strip to raise money for charity.

According to the Daily Mirror, Fr Kevin St Aubyn from Our Lady Immaculate Church in Whitstable, Kent believes the event is "morally wrong".

"It could incite young people to work up their desires," he said. "In Christian teaching sex before marriage is fornication."

The organiser of the event at Herne Bay pier said the priest was "making a mountain out of a molehill" and added that only people over the age of 18 are allowed at the performance.
