Watch: Priest accidentally blares out rap song during service

by Will Maule

An Irish priest has been caught on camera accidentally blaring out a rap song over the church PA while hosting a live-streamed service.

Fr Pat of the Kincasslagh and Burtonport Parish in County Donegal was in the middle of his opening blessing when the song suddenly boomed through the sanctuary. Fr Pat managed to hit pause on the song after a few seconds, before chuckling to himself. "A wee bit of rap in the morning, wakes you up," he remarked.

"Anyway, still nice to see you all...I hope that didn't do anybody's blood pressure any difficulty there."

The Kincasslagh Parish also saw the funny side of the incident, sharing a picture of the rapper on its Facebook page with the caption: "Please stand for our opening hymn."

Many have commented on the funny mishap, with one replying on Facebook: "As the song/artist is young prophet, I can see where Alexa went wrong."

"God must have had a great laugh," another added.
