The Premier Gospel Awards 2024 capped off Gospel Heritage Month in style with a glittering ceremony at the Royal Festival Hall in London, delivering a night of celebration and recognition for the UK’s vibrant gospel music scene.
Held on Saturday 21st September, the event honoured talents in gospel music, culture, and faith, with a mix of homegrown and international artists taking centre stage.
Hosted by acclaimed actor David Gyasi, the evening was packed with high-energy performances, heartfelt tributes, and emotional speeches.
Among the celebrity attendees were Sugababes’ Keisha Buchanan, Alex Boateng, CEO of 0207 Def Jam, and actor Nonso Anozie.
The evening’s awards ceremony celebrated some of the leading figures in gospel music.
Reblah emerged as a standout, winning both Best Male Artist and Best Album for Holy Impact.
Annatoria took home the Best Female Artist award, while Tim Godfrey’s hit Big God was named Best Song.
The international spotlight shone on gospel legend CeCe Winans, who was crowned Best International Artist.
Meanwhile, Femi Oguns and the globally recognised band The Compozers received the Outstanding Contribution to Culture award for their influential role in shaping music and the arts.
Other notable winners included The Spirituals, who were named Choir of the Year, and Imrhan, who was awarded Best Newcomer.
Warehouse Worship took home the Best Group award, TAB Worship was recognised as Best Worship Group, and Limoblaze won Best Video for Holy Father.
In partnership with Compassion UK, this year’s awards also highlighted the importance of giving back.
Compassion UK is a Christian child development charity, releasing children from poverty in Jesus’ name.
The underlying theme of the night was one of unity, hope, and the transformative power of music.
