Premier Gospel Award 2022 winners announced

After a two year gap, the annual Premier Gospel Awards took place on Saturday.

One thousand people gathered the London Hilton Hotel to celebrate UK gospel music with performances and awards.

Performances included Minister Taf, Volney Morgan & New Ye, and Tab Worship.

Premier Gospel presenters Cassandra and Ibe hosted the evening, with the likes of film director for Top Boy and Noughts and Crosses Kody Adom and Tour manager for Wretch 32, Tems and Stormzy, Trevor Williams handing out nine awards in categories including Best Male, Best Album and Choir of the Year.

Interspersed throughout the evening there were segments from The Future of UK Gospel, featuring the likes of Ryan Hylton and Anna Efah and a TV Stars Segment with The Voice UKs youngest ever winner Annatoria taking to the stage.

The night also including several giveaways for guests.

Premier Gospel station director Muyiwa Olarewaju said: "What a joy to celebrate the best of UK gospel with lovers of the music from the Daily Telegraph, Apple Music, BBC TV & ITV and the Premier Gospel family.”
