Rev Chris Lee has spoken of how his faith gave him strength when his wife experienced two miscarriages.
The 37-year-old father-of-two who's become a hit on social media, amassing over 177,000 followers on Instagram, appeared on This Morning where he spoke candidly about the "traumatic" experience of miscarriage as experienced by his wife, Jenny.
He told hosts Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby how they got through it as a couple.
"We decided quite early on that we wanted to be open about miscarriages," Rev Lee said. "There seems to be sometimes a stigma attached to it and actually it's a lot more common than people think."
The vicar from St Saviours Church in Acton, West London explained how he draws strength from his faith which helps him escape "darkness" after painful experiences.
He added he understands his religion doesn't make him exempt from suffering: "As a Christian my understanding is I'm not surrounded by a bubble of bliss ... I can have hope, in all the darkness there is hope.
"It gives me strength to go through the struggle rather than say you're not going to have any struggles."
He also spoke about his book - The Omg Effect: 60 Second Sermons to Help You Live a Fuller Life. Although started before the pandemic, it's been influenced by 'the pain and need in the world,' he said.
