Popstar turned priest to appear on Celebrity MasterChef

Revd Richard Coles is the priest at St Mary's Vicarage in Northamptonshire, he is also a regular on radio and TV.

He is also known for his hit single with The Communards in 1986 called 'Don't Leave Me This Way'.

John Torode and Gregg Wallace will be hosting MasterChef, where various celebrities from different backgrounds are put to the challenge.

Former England rugby player Neil Back as well Strictly professional dancer Gleb Savchenko and journalist Louise Minchin will be competing for the title of Celebrity MasterChef.

The chefs who manage to make it through to the semi-final will be asked to prepare an extravagant five course dinner for the Chelsea Pensioners to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday.

There will be twelve programmes over six weeks.

Some have already begun discussing who might win the challenge.

Celebrity MasterChef begins on BBC1 in June.
