Paul Rudd says he wants to meet Jesus, over any historical figure

by Anna Rees

Actor Paul Rudd has said that if he could meet one person from history it would be Jesus Christ.

The Antman and Clueless actor is Jewish, but identifies as “not particularly religious". However, in a promotional interview for his upcoming film Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the 55-year-old was emphatic about his desire to have a conversation with Jesus.

"Anyone from history, who would we choose? I know my answer," Rudd said. "Jesus Christ."

His co-stars, Mckenna Grace, 17, and Finn Wolfhard, 21, begin giggling.

"By the way, laugh all you want!" insisted Rudd , "It seems like it would be a wrong thing to say."

Wolfhard, interjects: "Was he real?"

An emphatic Rudd replies: "He existed! So wouldn’t you want to spend some time with him and go 'Jesus, what’s the deal?”’

The pair sat on either side of Rudd begin to nod. "That’s a fantastic answer," Grace replied.

Still waiting for his co-stars' replies, Rudd challenged them: "Come on. I got Jesus. Who do you guys got?"
