Pastor Derek Wilson from the Tabernacle Christian Centre near the tower said although he couldn't be certain of a cover-up, he and members of his church were praying for justice to be served.
He said: "I'm hoping and praying God would expose and overturn whatever needs to be overturned - to come out into the light - what needs to be seen."
Christian Labour MP David Lammy has suggested the real number killed could have been covered up because of fears of riots but ministers insist authorities aren't hiding anything about what happened.
Meanwhile, all 95 samples of potentially flammable cladding from tower blocks in England have failed fire safety tests, cabinet was informed, as the Prime Minister has said a major national investigation must take place into use of the material.
Mrs May's official spokesman said the national investigation could be conducted as a second phase of the public inquiry already announced into the Grenfell Tower blaze, which claimed the lives of at least 79 people.
The latest tally of fire safety checks was presented to Cabinet by Communities and Local Government Secretary Sajid Javid, who has issued an urgent call for all councils to send in samples of cladding from tall buildings.
Schools and hospitals may also do the same where they have concerns, with the Care Quality Commission having contacted more than 17,000 care homes, hospices and private hospitals to tell them to check fire safety procedures.
Pastor Wilson said he hoped the letter from residents would help ensure someone takes responsibility for the cladding that was on the Grenfell Tower and added "heads have got to roll in other words because it didn't need to happen had they chosen the one that was not flammable".
Urging Christians to continue to pray for those affected by the tragedy, Pastor Wilson said: "God is a God of justice and God can intervene and touch hearts and exposes what needs to be exposed. With all these things coming up in the press, we know that God can over-ride. God is God."
